Right now the only two-wheeled bikes made strong enough for you are our own brand, Zize Bikes.  There are two custom made models.  On this page we’ll explain some of the differences between the Time of Your Life and A New Leaf so that you can understand the differences and choose your ideal bike.

The Time of Your Life was designed to allow the rider to be seated and have his feet touch the ground.  This fundamental difference can dramatically increase the rider’s confidence level.  The center of balance is optimized with characteristics of a Super Sized Cycles customer—legs reaching forward, back straight, eyes headed straight out in front—thus increasing the center of balance and the rider stability.  This bike is designed to work in harmony with your body, not in spite of it.

As a great way to make sure your bike lasts your lifetime, if you start with an easy ratio and are ready for a bigger challenge, you can purchase a Ratio UP!  kit, and bring it to your local bike shop to have them install it.  Conversely, if you start with a Normal gear ratio and decide that you don’t want to work that hard, just get a hold of one of our Ration DOWN! kits, bring it to your bike shop, and you’ll be back in the business of riding just they way you like it.  By the way, you really won’t see any difference in the look of your bike, unless you are very attentive to detail—it’s simply changing the front chain ring and back sprocket.

The goal of Super Sized Cycles is to make biking available to everyone.  The two models we are now making go a long way towards meeting that goal. 

We are selling saddles that can be attached to most bikes.  Please be sure to check that your seat post works with the mounting on the saddle selected.  I

t's also a good idea to invest in a pair of cycling shorts  with a padded crotch.   Ours are designed for both men and women.   The difference is unbelievable!

All the bikes that we sell can be used whether you weigh 100 pounds or the maximum listed for that bike.  Our brand, Zize Bikes, are designed especially for continuous use, no matter what your weight.  (Which, by the way, is great for those of us whose weight seems to fluctuate with the winds.)

There are some cases where you might want to get a different bike.  For example, let's say you get hooked on riding, and get really into bikes.  You start salivating when you read about the latest Tour de France road bikes.  At this point you may want to add another bike to your repatoire, cause it sounds like you've got it bad.  Or maybe you've discovered mountain biking, and you want a cycle you can really beat up.  Again, time for a different bike. 

You may find, as I have, that one bike is no longer enough.  I now have three, and will be adding more as I find them :)  And each of my bikes serves me well, depending on my mood and the type of ride I'm taking.  If, however, after investing in a Super Sized Cycles, you decide that you want to be a one-bike-person, and it's time to change rides, please send us a note.  We frequently get requests for used Super Sized Cycles, and we'd be happy to help you sell yours.

Starting on March 1, 2008, we will be starting a payment plan on Super Sized Cycles.  You have the option of breaking your invoice into 4 equal monthly payments or into 6 montly payments, with the first one being 25% of the total due.  Due to the fact that we're online only, we have to provide the financing ourselves, so no bikes will be shipped until payment is completed.  Pleae check back here after March 1 for more details.

Our Supersized Personal Activity Vehicle is an awesome way to get around on 3 wheels.  The manufacturer does make an electric-asssit for it, but it is not recommended for over 220 pounds.  If you'd like an electric assist tricycle, we recommend the iZIP Tri-Cruiser.

The short answer is that the bikes are custom-made.  What this means is that each bike is built after we receive your order.  The process included building the frame, powdercoating (like painting) the frame, attaching the parts, and shipping the bike out.,  This generally takes 4 to 6 weeks, if we hit it just right.

Our goal is to have enough inventory that you won't have to wait for your bike, but we're not yet at that point.  The good news is that the wait is well worth it--you'll love your Super Sized Cycle! 

We are happy to ship our Zize Bikes anywhere in the world.
